We have a name...well, almost...

I almost forgot...I haven't posted our name yet! We have a first name decided...but are still going back and forth on the middle name. So, without further ado...this little boy's name is:

Hudson Lee

Hopefully we'll decide on a middle name soon! :)

Playing Catch Up...

Wow it's been a long time since I posted!! Needless to say, my mind has obviously been elsewhere...not only have I not posted, I haven't even checked anyone else's posts in forever! I can't believe the last time I posted was as soon as we found out it was a boy! That seems like decades ago! So, here's a little of what's been going on lately...

I am now 28 weeks, 3 days...and have officially entered the third trimester!! I can't believe it, it has gone by so fast!! I'm starting to get a few more aches now, which come with the territory...unfortunately. But, the good part is that I'm able to feel him kicking and moving around all the time now too...probably for the last couple of months. It's such an awesome feeling!! I love it! Our last Dr.'s appointment went great, and from here on out, we'll see him every two weeks...and then once a week at the very end.

It's crazy how many of my friends are pregnant now too (or just had babies!)...makes all of this so fun!! Here's a run down:
1. Kaci (had the most adorable twins...Laney & Mason...born April 6th)
2. Janna (Due early December)

3. Jenna (here in STL) (Due mid-November)
4. Melody (Due November)
Several girls from Lockney...and I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting...maybe even some I don't know about yet! ;) Must be something in the water....in every state!

We've started a childbirth preparation, newborn care and breastfeeding class at the hospital, and it's going well. Last week was our first class...and we have it again tonight. It's once a week (on Tuesday nights 6:30-9:30) for 6 weeks. There are about 8 other couples in the class...all expecting their first, and all around our age (okay, probably a little younger...let's be honest)...and all totally clueless about what to expect from the whole labor and delivery perspective. Makes us feel better...at least we're not the only ones. I'm really glad we're doing the class...I'm planning on getting an epidural, but I have heard so many stories (my mom included), about things not going as planned, or dilating so fast that it becomes too late for an epidural...and then those women are not prepared to deal with any of the pain or contractions. I just want to be prepared, whatever the circumstances. Plus, I think it's really good for Colby to get an idea of what's going to happen, and how to help me through it...I think he's nervous about that part of it...so the more information he has before hand, the better. Hospitals are not his "thing"...he literally gets nervous just going in to visit someone.

I got the nursery painted this last weekend, and Colby finished up the parts I couldn't reach last night...I took all the tape down this morning...it looks really good, I love the color. I'll post pictures soon. Our furniture is ordered, and I'm hoping it will be in sometime in May. We ordered it at the end of March, and they said 2-3 months...so I'm crossing my fingers that it's closer to 2! I can't wait to get it in, and get everything set up...I think my nesting instinct is kicking in...finally! :)

My mom is making all of the bedding, and she's already done with it! I can not WAIT to see it!! We're having a shower in Dallas this weekend, and she's bringing it with her...yay!! I'll post pictures of it too, when we get it home.

That brings me to our plans for this week...I leave for Dallas on Thursday, and Janna's picking me up from the airport! I can't wait to see everyone this weekend...it will be so fun!! Sunday, I'm driving back to Lubbock with mom and dad...because Colby will be in Lubbock (for work...again) from Saturday until the following Sunday. I'm not staying that long though...I fly back to STL on Wednesday...but I'm excited to have a few days off to spend time with mom and dad!

So that's my attempt at playing catch-up...I'll post more pictures soon...hopefully before I leave for Dallas...but if not then, for sure when I get back.

Hope you're having a good week! And be sure and say hi if you stop by...that's assuming there's still someone who reads this, and hasn't given up on me yet... :)
